He started to gain major attention across B-more and other cities, after he dropped his “fan-favorite” mixtape in 2019 called Merry 6mas.
“Covid played a huge role in my success, even though it was a blessing and a curse but it was more so of a blessing for my career.” After releasing Merry 6mas Chris Cassius has been featured on some major websites, ID magazines, Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Uprocks, he received 5 nominations from the 4th quarter, he won the best collaboration and the best rap lyricist of the year. Chris has been killing the rap game lately. Chris Cassius has appeared on hot features from well-known artists in the DMV area, Deetranda Heymisskam, Scotty Banx and so many more.
Chris is not the typical rapper that you’re going to hear too often especially in today’s music. Unlike other rappers, his passion in rapping is to be as versatile as possible while telling real stories in his music, so that not only can people from Baltimore can relate to his songs, but for everybody across the world can.
Chris said, “Our city has a sound but only a certain few can really hit it, at some point you got to branch out and do something different” Then he went on to say, “I got motivated to find my own sound.” Chris has an insane catchy flow with an amazing ability to walk on beats with ease.
